4K underwater shooting with enhanced AI tools – OPPO Reno14 F

By OTTO MAGAZIN 13.08.2025

Artificial intelligence with a 6000 mAh battery and a very competitive price range, and of course, some cool features came with Oppo’s new device. We’re talking about the Oppo Reno 14 F 5G, which brought some really nice tricks. But that’s not all — there are more important things. Let’s get to know them in this device.

Peace be upon you all, this is your brother Yassine, back again with you by OTTO MAGAZIN. Starting today, I’ll be bringing you several reviews of new electronic products. When we talk about this device, it’s truly impressive how much technology Oppo packed into this price category.

First, let’s look at the details and numbers. This device comes with a thickness of 7.78 mm. The one I have now is the blue version, but there’s also a green version. Imagine, the thickness is just under 8 mm, and both weigh around 180 grams.

It has a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2372 x 1080 Full HD+, a pixel density of 397 ppi, and — wait, before I tell you the refresh rate — the device’s price is around 400 USD. I mention the price early so you can start evaluating the features for this price range.

The screen refresh rate is 120Hz, and it supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion colors. The phone comes with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, an octa-core CPU built on 4nm, 5G support, and an Adreno 710 GPU. Compared to the previous generation, GPU performance is up by 30%, and CPU performance by 35%, according to Qualcomm.

During the launch event, they also showed us their sound test with the extra cooling system — a vapor chamber cooling setup with an aerospace-grade ultra-conductive graphite material covering about 9,130 mm² inside, acting like a radiator to keep the device cool during use.

Someone tested it by gaming under the sun, and the device performed well thanks to this cooling system. Of course, results may vary depending on environment and usage. The AI support is also embedded in many aspects — AI LinkBoost 3.0 and AI HyperBoost 2.0 both improve gaming experience with optimized connectivity, whether you’re on SIM or Wi-Fi.

In Geekbench 6, it scored 937 in single-core and 2700 in multi-core. PUBG ran at 60 fps on max settings, and Call of Duty Mobile also hit 60 fps on high settings.

The rear cameras include:

  • Main wide lens: Sony 50MP sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization).
  • Ultra-wide: 8MP with a 112° field of view.
  • Macro: 2MP for close-ups.

It has a dual-tone flash to better balance skin tones, aided by AI. Even in low light, images come out refined. The front camera is 32MP.

Photo results: the main lens produced very good details and balanced lighting; the ultra-wide delivered acceptable results close to the main lens. Portrait mode had good subject separation, with up to 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. Night mode was satisfactory, even in very low light.

The device supports 4K 30fps video recording. The front camera produced good results, slightly warm in tone for portraits, with good separation that improves with proper lighting.

It also has Oppo’s “Zeki” AI platform with tools like:

  • AI Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted objects from photos.
  • AI Live Photo to turn still shots into animated ones.
  • AI Reflection Remover to eliminate reflections from glass or water.
  • AI Perfect Shot to swap facial expressions in group photos.
  • Live translation of on-screen content using AI.

The phone includes an AI toolbox for travel, translation, and more. You can talk in any language and get live translation, even for images. It supports Google’s Gemini AI — long-pressing the power button activates it, and Circle to Search lets you identify products, clothes, or places from images.

It supports dual SIM (nano + eSIM or microSD), 5G, and comes in 256GB or 512GB storage with 12GB RAM, expandable by another 12GB via virtual RAM. Runs on Android 15 with Oppo’s ColorOS 15. You can also transfer files easily to iPhones using Oppo’s OPlus Connect, and it’s IP69-rated for water and dust resistance, with underwater photography capability (up to 2 meters for 30 minutes in fresh water).

Connectivity: Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC. Battery: 6000 mAh with 45W SuperVOOC charging (charger included). In testing, it charged from 0–100% in 1 hour 16 minutes. In the box: charging cable, charger, transparent protective case, and manuals.

Colors: Opal Blue and Luminous Green. Price: 400,00 USD.

Pros:

  • 6000 mAh battery
  • Expandable storage
  • Underwater photography
  • IP69 rating

Cons:

A minor wish: newer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions. But overall, with all the AI features at this price, it’s an excellent balance.

See you on the next reviews gays.

See you soon guys!
