This video calling app from HUAWEI has features that compete with services like FaceTime, Zoom and other similar apps. Let me introduce HUAWEI’s MeeTime to you.
Users with HUAWEI devices. will enjoy this feature. This is an amazing video calling app from HAUWEI. HUAWEI keeps improving this app and its services every year. I’ll discuss the app and its features in this review.
The HUAWEI MeeTime app is an audio/video calling app that works perfectly on HUAWEI’s ecosystem. The app is available on HUAWEI smartphones that run either Harmony OS or Android OS. It also works on HUAWEI tablets, smartwatches and even TVs.
To register for this service, you’ll have to use your phone number. This makes it easier than using your email or a username and so on. The audio quality on this app is excellent, and the video quality is FHD. You can actually continue the call from another HUAWEI device, if you choose to. But before I continue, let me explain an important point.
Any calling service that depends on data will offer higher quality if the internet speed is high and vise versa. For example, if you’re on a call on your HUAWEI Nova device, you can switch the call to the HUAWEI Vision S TV with a single press of a button.
The MeeTime app offers lots of options for users while in video/audio calls. For example, you can change the background, which makes the video calls more fun. This feature could come in handy especially for online meetings, where you can change the background easily.
The app also uses beautification features using AI, similar to that found in the camera app of the HUAWEI smartphones. There’s also a very important feature supported on the app that is screen sharing. For example, if you a have a file, document or anything else that you want others in the call to see, then you can use this feature with a single press of a button.
You can also share notes and illustrate on files in the video calls easily. One of the great features of the MeeTime app is that the video is great even in low light places. There’s an light bulb icon on the screen. Once you press on it, the brightness of the screen will increase to make the video call better. The phone we’re using to test the MeeTime feature is the HUAWEI Nova 9.
I previously reviewed the device, and the review is available in the magazine OTTO. This device comes with excellent hardware, beautiful design and an amazing screen.
The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is great to watch content or play games that support high refresh rate. The device comes with 4 rear cameras and punch hole front facing camera. The cameras support a feature called DualView, which allows you to record from the front facing camera and the rear cameras at the same time. The device also supports fast wireless charging with 66W. The charger is included in the box.
Let’s go back to the MeeTime feature; it is amazing for video/audio calls between HUAWEI devices. But to use it, you’ll have to have a HUAWEI device and the service is enabled on it. This service is exclusive for HUAWEI devices.
This service packed with great features. But it would’ve been great if this feature is available on other Android or iPhone devices. Who knows, maybe it’ll be available for other devices in the future. But for the time being, HUAWEI focuses on their Super Device ecosystem.
Have you tried this service before?😩
Let me know what do you think of it in the comment section. See you later.
