Galaxy A71 iPhone SE

đŹ If you have $400 to $450 and you want to buy either an iPhone or an Android device, which one would be better?
Would it be the iPhone SE or the Galaxy A71?
These devices cost between $400 to $450. Let’s find which one is better for you.
Hello guys, your cup coffee or tea and i will help you make the right decision, This is your host, OTTO MAGAZIN with a new comparison, This time, I’ll review two devices that nearly cost the same: the Samsung Galaxy A71 and the iPhone SE.
Both devices are brand new, and both offer high capabilities, Numbers will be the judge in this comparison.
Let’s start with the design:
The iPhone SE comes with Apple’s classic design, The screen is small in today’s standards with a fingerprint sensor. The frame is made from aluminum and the back is made from glass.
The Galaxy A71 comes with this year’s design from Samsung that came with the Note 10 Lite. The front is made from a full screen with a punch hole to house the front facing camera.
The rear cameras come with vertical design. The Galaxy wins the design point as it comes with the latest Samsung design and similar to other modern devices in the market.
unlike the iPhone SE design which is 6 years old, Both devices come with good build quality, but the iPhone feels better than the Galaxy as it is slightly lightweight.
The point goes to the Galaxy A71, Let’s discuss the screen now. The iPhone comes with a 4.7\ » LCD screen. The screen to body ratio is 65%. »
The Galaxy A71 comes with a 6.7\ » Super AMOLED+ screen. The screen to body ratio is 87%. The winner is clear in this department; the Galaxy A71.
It comes with a better screen technology, it’s bigger, and the screen to body ratio is better. The colors are also better on the A71 screen considering the aspect ratio and resolution.
Let’s now discuss the CPUs, which are different on this device. The iPhone SE comes with the A13 Bionic CPU with 7nm build and 6 cores. It is excellent for heavy games and heavy tasks such as editing videos, photos and so on.
The A71 CPU is the Snapdragon 730 with 8 cores and 8nm build. You can also play your preferred games on it. The build architecture and performance is less than the A13.
The A13 is very good for this device. The device is normal but it comes with a mind-blowing CPU. The point goes to the iPhone SE.
Let’s discuss the OS. The iPhone SE runs iOS 13, which has been facing lots of bugs this year. But after few updates, the OS runs smoothly.
The Galaxy A71 runs Android 10 with One UI 2 on top of it, which is one of the best UIs for Android devices. Both devices get a point. Both operating systems have reached high maturity in privacy and security.
A point goes to each one.đ
But before you decide to buy one of these devices, you should put something in your mind: If your current device is Android, then charging to another OS could be a little difficult.
You’ll have to transfer your WhatsApp account, contacts and also getting used to the new OS. The same thing applies if your current device is an iPhone.
It’d be a little difficult to get used to Android. You should know that if you’re comfortable with the OS of your current device, then the numbers in this comparison might be different.
Let’s now discuss the cameras:
The iPhone comes with a 7MP front facing camera and a 12MP rear camera. The Galaxy A71 comes with a 32MP front facing camera.
It also comes with 4 quad rear cameras: the first is the wide 64MP lens, Ultra Wide 12MP lens, The third is a 5MP Macro lens, and the fourth is a 5MP depth sensor.
Both devices support HDR and 4K videos. The iPhone, though shoots videos with 60fps, whole the Galaxy only supports 30fps.
This is because of the powerful CPU inside the iPhone. The videos are better stabilized on the iPhone because of the OIS on it instead of the EIS on the A71.
It is also clear that the iPhone offers better performance with the software. The camera performance of the SE is between the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 cameras.
The Galaxy A71 is better with the hardware. But it requires more work for better photo and videos processing. The A71 offers more options that are not available in the iPhone SE such as the Wide lens, Macro lens and Zoom lens.
You’ll benefit more with these cameras. It also comes with better front facing camera performance and offers more modes.
The quality of photos are a personal option, but for all the other capabilities, the point goes to the A71. With all appreciation to the 60fps@4K videos and photo/video processing on the iOS devices..
Let’s now discuss safe unlocking:
The iPhone SE offers two options to unlock the device: passcode and a fingerprint sensor. These methods are the same from Apple that we’re used to.
The device comes with big bezels, but it only support two unlocking options. The Galaxy A71, on the other hand, offers passcode, in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition.
It also comes with 4 quad rear cameras: the first is the wide 64MP lens, Ultra Wide 12MP lens, The third is a 5MP Macro lens, and the fourth is a 5MP depth sensor.

Let’s now discuss safe unlocking:
The iPhone SE offers two options to unlock the device: passcode and a fingerprint sensor, These methods are the same from Apple that we’re used to.
The device comes with big bezels, but it only support two unlocking options. The Galaxy A71, on the other hand, offers passcode, in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition.
but I don’t. advise using it as it’s not secure, The point goes to the Galaxy A71 as it offers more unlocking options.
It also supports an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is very modern.
Let’s now discuss one of the most important aspects on both devices: the battery:
But let me first remind to subscribe to the channel and enable the notification bell, as we’re working on more comparisons like this.
The battery on the iPhone is 1821mAh. It supports 18w charging and wireless charging.
The Galaxy A71 comes with 4500mAh battery, and it supports fast charging with 25w. Both devices charge the battery from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes. But the A71 comes with a 25w charger in the box, while the 18w charger doesn’t come in the box of the iPhone SE.
The point goes to the Galaxy device. The battery of the A71 lasts longer for gaming and content watching. The A71 will better for you when it comes to the battery.
Let’s now discuss connecting and storage:
The iPhone either comes with a 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage without an SD card support. The Galaxy comes with 128GB of onboard storage but it also supports an SD card up to 512GB.
The iPhone comes with the Lightening port, while the Galaxy comes with the USB-C port. Both support bluetooth 5.
The iPhone supports a physical SIM card and an eSIM. The Galaxy only supports 2 physical SIM cards. It also supports and SD card.
It supports 2 SIM cards AND an SD card at the same time. Both device support different paying methods and NFC.
You can also use STC Pay on both devices. Both devices support VoLTE and WiFi calling, but check whether your carrier supports them.
The Galaxy A71 supports a 3.5mm headphone jack, which doesn’t come with premium devices. The iPhone SE doesn’t come with one, but it should have.
The SD card always helps with extending the storage. This features gives the advantage to the Galaxy A71.
Let’s now discuss additional features:
If you use a MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch, then you’ll enjoy Apple’s ecosystem. The Galaxy device works on Windows devices, but the experience isn’t the same.
Samsung devices and Windows machine aren’t from the same company.
So, there won’t be as much harmony between them as there is with Apple devices. The iPhone supports Siri, which unfortunately is behind other competitors and needs developing.
The Galaxy offers Bixby, which is new from Samsung, and is not that capable. But both devices support Google Assistant, and you can install it on both devices.
The iPhone is IP67 water and dust resistant, while unfortunately the Galaxy doesn’t support it. Both devices support different additional features. Both devices get a point for additional features.
Let’s now discuss the price and after purchase services:
The iPhone starts from $450 , and it comes with white, black and red colors.
While the Galaxy A71 costs $400 and it comes with white, silver and blue colors. Both devices are fully supported in our region.
There are accessories for both devices and technical customer support.
Who wins the point?
The SE will hold its price. If you decide to sell after two years, you won’t lose much money.
The Samsung is cheaper, So which one is better? đ„
This time, I want you to help me by commenting your opinion. Do you think the A71 deservedly deserved to win?
Or does the balance of specs on the SE makes it the winner?đ„
For me, SE WIN.
