Samsung has announced one of the biggest tablets ever, with lots of enhancements from the previous generation. Let me introduce you to the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G tablet. This tablet comes with an excellent screen and a highly responsive S Pen that is included in the box. The tablet offers high performance and supports 5G networks.
Let me now discuss the device and my experiment with it. Keep visited us to find out more about technologies from around the world. Let’s discuss the design, The device comes with a metal frame. The metal is Armor Aluminium, which according to Samsung, it protects the device from scratches.
Samsung also says that this is the first tablet from its size category that supports IP68 water and dust resistant. The back has a vertical camera module and a line on the back to charge the S Pen stylus. The front is mostly a screen with a top notch house the front facing cameras. You can store the S Pen at top frame of the device as well. Despite its size, the tablet is lightweight, as it weighs only 737g. It has an accessory that is bought separately called Book Cover Keyboard. And the box now includes the S Pen stylus.
The stylus is now faster than the previous generation. The S Pen also supports IP68 water and dust resistant. You can use it to draw and right, and it supports different pressure points. The S Pen supports built-in apps that come with the tablet, such as Notes and so on. It supports the same features found on the S23 Ultra phone.
The S Pen comes with a button to enable gestures. You can use it to take a picture, flip the cameras, take a screenshot and so on. It feels like a remote control when using it. The CPU inside the tablet is the Qualcomm SD 8 Gen 2. It is built on 3nm architecture and comes with 8 cores.
The GPU is the Adreno 740. These specs enable great performance for gaming, which I’ll discuss later in this review. The tablet comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
However, there are versions that come with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. In Geekbench 6, the CPU scored 1960 points for the single core and 5213 points for multicores. Here’s where the CPU performance is ranked among other competitors.

PUBG game started with the highest settings, and it played very smoothly. The game offered consistent 60fps. By the way, the game only supports 60fps, but the device itself supports 120Hz.
The device comes with a 11,200mAh battery, it supports fast charging with 45W. The battery charged from 0% to 100% in 40 minutes. The touch screen comes with a 14.6″ size, and with Samsung’s new features, the screen is now more responsive. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen has a 2960×1848 resolution. And as I mentioned before, the screen supports 120Hz refresh rate. It offers high responsiveness and is great to use.
After experimenting with it, the screen offered excellent performance in colors, contrast and deep blacks. The screen’s brightness is also satisfactory. In general, I think it is of the best screens to watch content on. Considering that the tablet comes with a huge screen and battery.

Let’s now discuss the cameras, The device come rear cameras, and dual front facing cameras. The main rear camera is 13MP, and the second is the 8MP Ultra Wide camera. The rear front facing cameras are both 12MP, and they are Wide and Ultra Wide respectively. The rear cameras provide good photography experience with saturated colors.
The second is the Ultra Wide, which provide a way bigger field of view. The cameras support recording 4K@30fps with acceptable results. The front facing cameras provide good experience and do their job well. These front facing cameras are great for video calling apps such as Google Duo, Zoom and so on.
The device runs Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI 5.1 on top of it, and it supports receiving updates. The tablets supports DeX mode, which is actually integrated in it. Using this device with a TV makes you feel like you’re using a laptop.
However, it runs Android not Windows. The tablets comes with 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The audio experience is excellent. The bass is good as well. Over all, and despite being a tablet, the audio experience is satisfactory. The device supports bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6E and 5G. It also supports SD cards up to 1TB.
The device unlocks using the fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen, which offers excellent responsiveness, it also supports face recognition, but it doesn’t have dedicated 3D sensors, so it is better to avoid using it. The device comes with a USB-C port to enable fast charging.
The WiFi version’s price starts from 1190 euros, while the 5G version costs 1335 euros.
Pros:
The device offers IP68 water and dust resistant support, comes with a huge battery and screen, it also comes with a modern CPU.
However, I wished that the accessories’ prices were better. The keyboard costs 350 USD , There are two smaller versions of this device, which also support 5G networks. These two devices are the Tab S9 and S9 Plus.
The Ultra is the bigger version, and it is the only one that supports IP68 water and dust resistant. Samsung is also expected to announce FE and FE Plus versions of the tablets towards the end of the year.
Samsung is bringing more tablets to the market to cover the needs of most users. Let me know what do you think of this device and especially its size, and whether you wished there was a small version of it.
Would you prefer a more affordable price of this device so that it can be more popular?
See you soon…💋💋💋
