The RTX 3070 Ti GPU? What are the pros and cons of this card? And did he pass the tests we’ve conducted?
Let’s find more about the new GPU from Nvidia. In this review article, I’ll review the RTX 3070 Ti GPU, Last week, Nvidia released their new RTX 3080 Ti GPU.
We reviewed it and the review is available on the magazine. But in this new review, I’ll focus on the RTX 3070 Ti GPU. It is considered the predecessor of the RTX 2070 Super GPU. The previous generation used to offer high performance with 1440p resolution.
According to Nvidia, the RTX 3070 Ti GPU will offers 1.5x better performance than the RTX 2070 Super. It’s also 2x better than the RTX 1070 Ti. One of the best enhancements is that it comes with the GDDR6X RAM.
These RAMS offer better speeds than the GDDR6. These RAMs are also found in the previous RTX 3070 GPU. The card now supports HDMI 2.1 port. This port allows for 4K@120Hz resolution. The RTX 2070 Super didn’t support it. The CUDA cores have been increased to 6144 cores in the new card. It is 2x better than the 2070 Super GPU.
The card is built using the Ampere architecture. This architecture has proven itself in the market. This architecture also supports technologies such as Ray Tracing better than the previous Turning architecture. The card supports Tensor Core 3rd gen.
These cores will help with the DLSS 2.0 technology. It’ll help in enhancing gaming and resolution. It also increases the frames using AI. The RTX 3070 Ti GPU supports Nvidia Reflex technology.
This technology helps in competitive games, and I previously explained it. This technology will lower the latency in competitive games. At the same time, it adjusts the latency of the system.
Lots of games support it, such as Fortntite and COD: Black Ops Cold War. The RTX 3070 Ti GPU supports Nvidia Broadcast app. This app will benefit from the Ampere architecture to offer better performance.
This app will support the highest frames and best possible resolution during live broadcasting. The app supports Noise Cancelation and face tracking. It also isolates the background without needing a green screen. The v RTX 3070 Ti GPU uses 290W to work. It is less than the RTX 3080 Ti, which uses 350W.
The RTX 3070 Ti GPU uses 60W less than the RTX 3080 Ti GPU, The power consumption, though, is still high. The power supply suggested by Nvidia is 750W.
The card uses power through the 12-Pins port. We’re used to this port with the RTX 3000s GPUs. The size of the RTX 3070 Ti GPU is significantly smaller than the size of the RTX 3080 Ti GPU, And like the bigger card, it comes with 2 fans, one inside and one outside.
The cooling system is the same as in the Founders Edition, which proven to be great.
Let me now discuss the performance:
In In 3DMark Time spy Test, the GPU scored 14132 points. Here’s where the GPU performance is ranked among other competitors. We tried different games with 1440p resolution and the highest settings possible.
The results were as followed: In Doom Eternal, the card scored between 187 to 269 frames. In Death Stranding with DLSS enabled, the card scored between 133 to 187 fps. In COD: Black Ops Cold War with Ray Tracing and DLSS enabled, the card scored between 60 to 82 fps.
In Battlefield 5, with Ray Tracing and DLSS, the card scored between 96 to 121 fps.
In Fortnite with Ray Tracing and DLSS enabled, the card scored between 92 to 126 fps. In Watch Dogs: Legion, with Ray Tracing and DLSS enabled, the card scored between 76 to 90 fps.
Let’s now discuss the price:
the actual price is different than the price in the market. The reason is because of the lack of cards because people use them for mining. The price of the RTX 3070 Ti starts from 599 USD. It’ll be available starting from 10th of June.
Let me summarize our experiment.
Pros:😍
It offers high performance with 1440p resolution. It also offers high performance with Ray Tracing and DLSS technologies. The card is great for competitive games lovers. Having a GDDR6X RAMs makes it great for content creating such as Designing and Video editing.
Cons:🤦♂️
The price is logical, but the availability is the problem. I wish the power consumption was less. I also wished it uses 650W power supply instead of 750W. I want to be able to add more things to my build.
Should I build a device using these GPUs?🤔
See you soon.
