In this new review, we’ll discuss the Honor Vs device.
Honor was able to bring a new device with excellent capabilities.
They managed to be successful with their first foldable device.
Let me discuss my first impression about this device, This is the foldable Magic Vs device from Honor.

The front of the device is made from glass and the frame is made form aluminium. The back is made from a beautiful gradual blue glass.
The camera module comes with a rectangular protruding design.
The design follows the same DNA as Honor’s previous devices.
The LED flash is located next to the camera module. The design is beautiful, but it is not modern.
Honor announced two devices in their event, the Magic 5 Pro, which comes with a modern design, and this Magic Vs.
There’s a huge difference between them when it comes to the rear design and the camera module.
This Magic Vs device is lightweight and comes with a great battery. It is very easy to use as well.
This foldable device doesn’t have a gap when it is folded, and both screens (internal and external) are big. It weighs 267g.
The external screen is 6.45″ OLED panel. The resolution of the screen is 2560×1080.
The aspect ratio of the screen is 21.3:9.
The internal screen is also OLED with 7.9″ size. The resolution of the screen is 2272×1984. The aspect ratio is 10.3:9.
The screen density is 282ppi. While the external screen’s density is 431ppi. The screen to body ratio is 90%.
The external screen supports 120Hz refresh rate and AoD feature.
The internal screen’s brightness is 800nits, while the external’s is 1200nots. It supports HDR10+ and can produce up to 1 billion colors. The device comes with the Qualcomm SD 8 Gen 1 CPU.
The CPU is built using 4nm architecture and comes with 8 cores. The GPU is the Adreno 730.
In Geekbench 6, the CPU scored 1525 points for the single core and 4004 points for multicores. The device runs Android 13 with Honor’s MagicOS 7.1 on top of it.
The device comes with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. This makes the device from the premium category. Foldable devices in general are from the premium catregory.
The device comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the side power button. The width of the power button is about 2mm.
Hopefully, this fingerprint sensor works perfectly as, in general,
fingerprint sensors have reached a high maturity level.
The device doesn’t support face recognition as
it doesn’t come with dedicated 3D sensors.
Let’s discuss the rear cameras. The main camera is the IMX800 with 54MP resolution. It has an F/1.9 aperture.

The second is the zoom lens with 8MP resolution with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom support. This camera supports OIS.
The third is the Ultra Wide camera with F./2.0 aperture and 50MP resolution.
The cameras support recording videos with 4K resolution. The external front facing camera is 16MP. The internal front facing camera is also 16MP.
The battery inside the device is a whopping 5000mAh. It is basically 2 batteries, one in each side. It supports charging with 66W, and the charger comes in the box.
The device supports dual sim cards and eSIM in our region. It also supports 5G networks. Other specs include bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 and NFC.
The box includes a protection cover, charger, charging cable and warranty in the Gulf region.

Pros: 😍😍😍😍
it is easy to use, as its thickness is
minimum and it leaves no gaps when folded.
This device becomes a phablet and offers lots of capabilities. It supports high charging speeds.
It supports Honor Connect ecosystem to allow other Honor devices to be connected to each other.
Cons: 🤕🤕🤕🥴
I wished that it supported an official IP rating. The device doesn’t support wireless charging, as well.
Honor proved that they can make foldables with this device with amazing design and great capabilities.
I am convinced that Honor has the latest technologies and capabilities to compete in the high-end market. And this foldable is a proof.
The technology behind the hinge, as it leaves no gap when folded is actually amazing.
This is a very good option when it comes to foldables that support Google services.
The device also comes with a warranty, which helps you protect your investment.
My judgement: 🧐 this device is well designed and capable. We’ve started to reach high maturity with foldable devices in general.
In 2019 and 2020, regular flagship devices have reached high maturity, and now in 2023, foldables have reached it.
The only problem with the foldable device is its price, where it becomes affordable for most users.
I think Honor will be the first company to produce a lite version of foldable devices.
This is the step for users to adopt these foldable devices more and more. We want these devices to be priced at 500 or 600 USD!
Hopefully, this will happen soon.
This is the end of this review guys. This is a great device from Honor.

To be honest, if I had to choose between both of these devices, I’ll go with the Magic 5 Pro.😈
This big screen, and the beautiful design are more attracting for me for daily using this device.
Especially that it comes with more advanced cameras.
See you later.😉
