This is the biggest tablet from Samsung, and it comes with the best specs available. It is the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G tablet. It comes with an excellent screen with S Pen support. It also offers high 5G performance.

Hi Guys, In this new review, I’ll review the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablet. This tablet was released along with the S22 Series in 2022. Read this article until the end as I’ll discuss the device’s pros and cons. Make sure to evaluate your needs before you make a decision.

The tablet is made from the Armor Aluminum metal. According to Samsung, this metal protects the device from scratches and withstands falls. Samsung says that this tablet is the biggest and thinnest tablet in the Tab S series. The rear camera module has a vertical design with a black strip next to it. This strip is designed to charge the S Pen stylus. The front is mostly a screen with a notch to house the front facing camera(s). It is a thin tablet with a 725g weight. It is also easy mobilize.

Using the Book Cover Keyboard, this tablet can be turned into a laptop. This keyboard is sold separately. The keyboard is made from materials that feel like leather with a dedicated strip to house the S Pen. The keyboard is backlit and it is easy to use. It also comes with a touchpad area. The S Pen is very responsive. You can use the S Pen to navigate the device, use it for painting and it is supported in my apps. The tablet comes with dedicated apps that are also available on Note devices.

You can use to select parts of the screen, writing messages and so on. There’s also a dedicated button to enable gestures. You can use the S Pen to with gestures to change between cameras, play presentations and so on. You can do this without the S Pen touching the screen. There’s a lot of supported gestures, and some of them are customizable.

The price of this tablet is a little high. But it offers lots of capabilities. Some users might not want to use a laptop with this tablet. It is also great for entertainment, since it has a great screen, which I’ll discuss later in this review. It comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU. It comes with 8 cores and is built using the 4nm architecture. The GPU is the Adreno 730. It comes with 8/128GB memory, 12/256GB or 16/512GB options. It supports 5G and an external SD card. In Geekbench 5, the CPU scored 1191 points for the single core and 3336 points for multicores. PUBG game started with the smooth settings and the highest frame rate.

Despite the screen supporting high refresh rate, the game only supports 60fps. Call of Duty Mobile started with the highest settings and offered excellent performance. It also worked with constant 60fps. The game supports PS5 and Xbox controllers. But you’ll need first to edit the buttons to have a perfect experience.

The battery is 11.200mAh. It supports charging with 45W using the Fast Charging 2.0 technology from Samsung. The battery charged from 0% to 43% in 30 minutes only. Let’s now discuss the screen, which is the best thing about this device. It is 14.6″ Super AMOLED display. The resolution is 2960×1848. And it supports 120Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate ensure high smoothness while using the device or gaming or watching supported content. It supports additional features. This screen offers high performance, excellent colors, excellent contrast and great brightness.

I consider it one of the best tablet screens so far. The tablet comes with 2 rear cameras and 2 front facing cameras. The main rear camera is 13MP and another 6MP Ultra Wide. The front facing cameras are both 12MP, one wide and the other Ultra Wide. These front facing cameras are great for meetings. The rear cameras offer good details and colors.

The colors are saturated. The Ultra Wide camera offers lots of details as well. It records 4K@30fps videos. The results are acceptable. Both the front facing cameras offer very good performance. These cameras are great for making video calls on apps such as Google Duo and others.

The video test of the front facing cameras on this tablet, The device runs Android 12 with the One UI 4.1 The UI offers good experience for a tablet but it is not the ideal experience, though. Other companies offer better and more optimized UIs with their tablets. You can enable the DEX mode from the settings to turn the tablet into a laptop. The DEX UI is better since it is more suitable for a bigger screen and offers similar UI experience to Windows devices.

The laptop comes with 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The audio experience is balanced and the bass is great. In general, the audio experience is satisfactory. The device supports bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6e, which offers faster transfer speeds. To benefit from WiFi 6e, your router must support it, too.

The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor with excellent responsiveness. it unlocks using face recognition but it is not safe despite having dual front facing cameras. It comes with a USB-C port dedicating for charging, but it also allows for external screen using the Display Port.

It is a great investment for those who don’t require having a laptop all the time. The device supports Samsung’s ecosystem to allow to to become a smartphone as well. There are apps that allow this tablet to connect to Windows devices and smartphones.

Pros: 😚

The device’s build quality is excellent. The design is beautiful, and it comes with a great screen suitable for watching cont It also comes with a long lasting battery. It supports the high responsive S Pen which is suitable for artists. It comes with a huge battery with 45W support.

Cons: â˜č

Samsung must work on providing a better tablet UI to compete with other competitors. The accessories are expensive. For example, the keyboard is more than 350 USD. Still, it is an investment that lots of users will benefit from.

Evaluate your needs before you make a decision. Samsung has finally figured out a new Ultra category with their tablets.

See you soon guys.â˜ș👋
