The S20 FE back is not made from glass, rather it is made from plastic. The frame of the device is made from aluminum. The front facing camera is housed in a punch hole in the screen.
The design of the rear cameras on this device is similar to the design of the cameras on the Note 20. The device weighs 193g.
The thickness of it is 8.4mm. It also supports IP68 water and dust resistant. The device can withstand 1.5m submerged in water for 30 minutes.
But I advise you not to use it and leave it for emergency. The screen size is 6.5 with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080), It is a Super AMOLED panel and it is called Infinity-O, But why is it called Infinity-O?
Because the screen comes with a circular punch hole to house the front facing camera, The screen comes with 407ppi density. The aspect ratio of the screen is 20:9, The screen comes with 120Hz refresh rate.
This means that navigating the device will be very smooth and responsive. And games will be better if they support this refresh rate. But if games don’t support it, then you might not notice the difference.
The FE device supports Google services. It also provides a unique experience with the Samsung smart ecosystem. Integrating Google Duo in the phone app enriches the experience of young users.
They can communicate better with easier access to the app. I said young users because it is clear that Samsung is targeting youth with the S20 FE devices. It comes with different colors and supports Wireless DEX feature.
It also comes with a powerful battery and chosen selfie and rear cameras. Let me explain it: The device comes with 3 rear cameras and a single front facing camera. The main rear camera is the Wide 12MP lens. The second is also the Wide 12MP with OIS support.
OIS will help reduce shakiness while shooting a video or taking a still photo. The third camera is a 8MP Telephoto lens with OIS support, too. The front facing camera is 32MP.
Let me now discuss the photography experience. The wide camera takes very good photos. The colors are saturated, and some times, they are cold and other times they are warm. It depends on different circumstances and photo processing software.
The Ultra Wide camera takes very similar photos. But the colors are saturated and warm in some situations with a fish-eye perspective. The Telephoto lens will provide 3x optical zoom with satisfactory results.
It also supports 30x digital zoom using the Space Zoom feature, but the details will less. Portrait mode provides very good isolation.
And in general, the results will not disappoint. In Night Mode, the photos are good. The quality and details of Night Mode photos are satisfactory.
It supports recording 4K@60fps videos. The steadiness and details of the videos are good. The colors are a bit cold. It also supports the Super Steady feature, which will provide better steadiness, but it only works with 1080p@30fps videos.
The rear cameras will help in recording videos with great quality. With better light, the videos will look better. These three rear cameras will provide better functionality.
The front facing camera provides saturated colors and good details, You can also take photos with wider angles.
The portrait photos vary in quality. The isolation quality varies too, but in general, it does its job, Here’s a tip for you: make sure that the light source is facing you while taking a selfie photo.

The UI supports dark mode and side apps, This will help with ease of access to frequently used apps and also enable to start two apps with one touch.
The device supports Wireless DEX, which was first introduced with the Note 20, This feature turns the device to be a semi-computer like experience once wirelessly connected to an external screen.
The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, And after experimenting with it, if offers very good responsiveness, It also unlocks using face recognition.
But it uses 2D photos not 3D sensors, and I advise you not to use it for better security, The device supports bluetooth 5 and NFC, and it is compatible with Mada Pay.
It also supports 5G, which makes socializing easier between young people, The device works in harmony with Samsung ecosystem such as the Tab, headphones and sport bands.

Cons:
The back is made from plastic. I wished they used another material, You might be asking yourself: is the S20 FE better than the regular S20 or is it the vice versa?
If you don’t mind not having 5G, then the regular S20 might be a good choice for you, The S20 supports recording 8K videos and it comes with a Dynamic AMOLED screen with higher resolution.
It is also slightly more expensive than the FE version, You’ll have to check your needs. Would you prefer the DEX feature, more color options and the higher refresh rate?
