Both of these devices come with lots of features. And each one is a huge competitor for its price category. Let me introduce you the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite.

Let me first start with the Redmi Note 9:😈

The back is made from glass with a shiny curved part in the middle. This part houses the protruding rear cameras. The front is made from an edge to edge display, and for the first, time, it comes with circular punch hole to house the front facing camera.

The device is splash resistant. The thickness of the device is 8.8mm and it only weighs 209g. The screen size is 6.67, and it is called Dot Display. It is an IPS panel with 2400×1080 resolution, i.e. FHD+. It comes with 395ppi. It is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer.

The device comes with 4 rear cameras. The main camera is the wide 64MP with 79.8 angle of view. The second camera is the Ultra Wide 8MP with a 119 angle of view.

The third camera is the 5M Macro Lens. The third camera is the 2MP Depth Sensor. The front facing camera is 16MP. The rear 4 cameras will help a lot with photography. But we’ll discuss them in the photography experiment.

The cameras support HDR and AI. The main camera takes saturated photos with very good details. The colors are a bit warm. The Ultra Wide camera provides nearly good photos. But sometimes, the photos are bit contrasty and it depends on different scenarios. The isolation in portrait phots is good. But it also depends on different scenarios.

Make sure that there is enough light for better results. It also supports Macro photos, where you can take photos of close objects. And the results are satisfactory. The rear cameras support 4K@30fps videos, and the colors are saturated. The stabilization is acceptable.

When using yellow light, the quality of the videos becomes better. This camera supports shooting videos with 4K@30fps, Shooting with 30fps is great. but It is up to you to judge.

The specs on this device, when compared to its price, is very good. The front facing camera provide good photos with cold colors. Portrait photos are acceptable, but it depends on different scenarios. The camera can shoot videos with 1080p@30fps.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro got a CPU upgrade. It is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. The previous Redmi Note 8 Pro came with the MediaTek G90T CPU. The CPU comes with 8 cores and 8nm build.

The GPU is the Adreno 618, In Geekbench 5, the CPU scored 560 points for the single core and 1628 points for multicores, the CPU performance is ranked among other competitors.

PUBG game started with high settings with good smoothness. The device supports Game Acceleration feature, which will enhance gaming performance. It will also provide options like taking a screenshot and screen recording while gaming.

It also frees up the RAM for better performance among other options. Speaking of the RAM, it is 6GB, and the onboard storage is 64GB. It supports dual SIM card AND an SD card up to 512GB.

You can use two SIM cards and an SD card at the same time. The device runs Android 10 with MiUI 11 on top of it. The UI is easy to use. It supports Dark Mode and different shortcuts like swiping down 3 fingers to take a screenshot.

Xiaomi add lots of shortcuts to their UI, The device officially supports Google services out of the box.

You will not face any problem with Google services with this device. The device supports bluetooth 5, dual WiFi frequency and NFC.

We tried NFC with Mada Pay and it worked just fine. It comes with an infrared sensor to control home appliances instead of using the remote controller.

The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the side power button. The previous version’s fingerprint sensor was placed at the back of the device. And after experimenting with it, it offers good responsiveness.

It supports unlocking using face recognition, which It don’t advise using, as it uses a photo instead of 3D sensors. It comes with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

You can use your headphones while charging the device at the same time. Compared to the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the battery on this device is bigger.

The battery now is 5020mAh. Even fast charging is improved with 30w. It is supposed to charge the battery from 0% to 55% in 30 minutes.

The box contains the device, clear case, quick charger and charging cable. The device comes with green, grey and white colors.

The price is 263 USD for the 64GB of storage and 6GB RAM version . These Prices could charge with time.

Pros:😍

As usual, Xiaomi offers an excellent price for high specs, The screen is beautiful and the camera performance is satisfactory for its category.

The gaming performance is satisfactory, too. The battery is big and it supports fast charging.

Cons:😈

The device is a little big, but it also might be good for gamers. Try the device before you decide to buy it. Xiaomi also adds lots of bloatware that not all of us will need. But you can uninstall these apps if you do not need them.

Let me now discuss the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite device:😈

The Mi Note 10 Lite is made from glass with a curved back. The rear cameras are placed at the top left corner. The front is covered with an edge to edge display. The screen is curved and comes with a teardrop notch to house the front facing camera. The thickness of the device is 9.67mm and it weighs 204g.

The screen size is 6.47, and it is called 3D Curved AMOLED display. The resolution is FHD+ i.e., 2340×1080. It comes with 398ppi. And similar to the first device, the screen is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer.

The device comes with 4 rear cameras a s single front facing camera. The main camera is 64MP with Sony’s IMX686 sensor. According to Xiaomi, this sensor will help capture high quality photos. We’ve tested this sensor.

The second camera is the Ultra Wide 8MP. The third camera is the 5MP depth sensor. The fourth camera is the 2MP Macro lens.

The front facing camera is 16MP. The cameras support HDR and AI in photography.

The main camera provide saturated photos with acceptable details and sharpness. The colors are sometimes cold, and other times warm. The Ultra Wide lens offer similar photos taken on the main camera. The colors are sometimes cold and other times warm. Here are some samples.

The isolation in portrait photos is good. Sometimes, the isolation does not work, but in general, it does its job. It supports Macro lens, and the photos are good.

This Macro lens lets you take photos of close objects. The device supports shooting videos with 4K / 30fps. It offers acceptable performance. The stabilization is also acceptable. This is a 4K / 30fps video sample taken with the rear camera.

Let me change the light source and see how it performs.The better the light is, the better the video quality with any device. Light changes everything. If you are in spotlight, the quality will be better.

The front facing camera takes good photos, But the skin is a bit beautified. They do this to make your skin looks better. The isolation in portrait photos is acceptable. But it depends on different scenarios.

This video is shot with the front facing camera with FHD 1080p – 30fps. The CPU in this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G with 8 cores and 8m build.

The screen comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, And after experimenting with it, it offers good responsiveness. It also supports unlocking using face recognition, but it uses photos instead of 3D sensors.

For security reasons, I advise you not to use it.😈

It comes with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery is 5260mAh, and it supports quick charging with 30w.

The box include the device, clear cover, fast charger and charging cable. The content depend on your region. The device comes with purple, black and white colors.

There’s another version with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. The price starts from 394 USD,The price of this device might change with time.

Pros:😍

the curved screen and in-display fingerprint sensor make this device unique in its category. The battery is huge, and it supports quick charging, which is excellent.

But! 😈

But it is strange that it does not support an SD card. You should check what storage you’ll need before you decide to buy.

The cameras are good, but they could have been better. To free up your storage, check whether you will need the pre-installed apps.

These two devices from Xiaomi prove how competitive they have become.

These two devices officially support Google services, Xiaomi offer lots of features with Redmi and Mi devices.
