and come with great features.
These features include a 120Hz refresh rate screen,
lightweight, a beautiful design, and fast charging.
Let me introduce you to the OPPO Reno8 T 5G device.
This device is from the mid-range category, and has
a tempting price tag, which I’ll discuss in this review.
The feature about this device is its 108MP camera.
The rear design is beautiful, as it has a radiant color along
with the rounded rectangle housing the rear cameras.
The device is scratch resistant, and it comes with two colors:
Black Starlight (Midnight Black) and Dawn Gold (Sunrise Gold)
The device comes with an AMOLED screen with 3D curves.
The screen size is 6.7″ with FHD+ resolution.
It supports 120Hz refresh rate.
It produces 1 billion colors, and the screen to body ratio is 93%.
The screen supports Always-On Display.
The screen supports a feature called PMW (pulse-width modulation)
This technology helps in adjusting the
brightness of LEDs automatically.
Thus helping in protecting your eyes by dropping the variation to 2160.
This helps in protecting the eyes from blue lights.
The screen has a punch-hole in the top
middle to house the front facing camera.
The device is thin as it has 7.7 thickness.
The device weighs 171g, making it easy to use in one hand.
But you’ll need two hands to reach the top corners.
I’ll discuss what I think of this device
towards the end of this video.
Let me now discuss the specs of this device.
The screen offers very good performance
when it comes to colors and brightness.
The device comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G CPU.
The CPU has 8 cores, and is built using the 6nm architecture.
The GPU is the Adreno 619.
In Geekbench 5, the CPU scored 688 points for
the single core and 2012 points for multicores.
Here’s where the CPU performance is
ranked among other competitors.
PUBG game started with 60fps with the smooth
settings, and the performance was good.
The device runs Android 13 with
OPPO’s ColorOS 13 on top of it.
The UI is colorful and supports lots of shortcuts.
It fully supports Google services.
Supporting 5G networks with this price is amazing.
The OPPO Reno8 T 5G comes with 3 rear cameras.
The main camera is 108MP.
While the Depth camera is 2MP and the
Macro lens is 2MP with up to 40x zoom.
The front facing camera is 32MP.
The main camera offers good performance with
clear details with saturated and warm colors.
Portrait photos were also good.
The video recording performance was smooth and the
videos were full of details with good stabalization.
But the details drop when recording videos
in places with low light.
Make sure to be in a lit area when recording videos.
This is a video test recorded using the front facing camera.
And this is how the camera performs in different light settings.
The camera performs really well when there’s lots of light.
The photos taken using the front facing camera are full of details.
The colors are warm and saturated.
The camera does its job well.
The main camera is 108MP with HDR support. The
details provided by the camera are satisfactory.
This is the only device from this price category
that comes with a 108MP camera.
You won’t find a device from this price category
with a 108MP camera in the market.
The device supports Microscopic pictures
with up to 40x zoom.
It can take pictures of things that
can’t see with the naked eye.
This is a feature included in the new OPPO device.

The battery of the device is 4800mAh with 67W
charging support using OPPO’s SuperVooc technology.
It charges from 0% to 100% in 48 minutes only.
It supports something called Battery Health Engine,
which extends the battery cycle to up to 1600.
Normally, smartphones come with a battery
that supports up to 500 cycles.
This 1600 cycles means that the battery
will function well for up to 4 years.
Unlike other competitors, OPPO excels in the battery.
This technology from OPPO means that they want users to use their device for a long-term without problems.
The device supports bluetooth 5.1, WiFi and
NFC to enable different payment methods.
It also supports an in-display fingerprint
sensor with satisfactory responsiveness.

Let’s discuss the pros and cons of this device.
It supports fast charging, has a 120Hz screen,
supports 5G and has a lightweight beautiful design,
I wished that it supported wireless charging.
What’s my verdict on this device?
OPPO’s mid-range devices always come with great features.
Having support for a 120Hz screen with fast charging and 5G support means
that the device will be a great option considering the full Google support.
This is a very good option from the mid-range category.
Make sure to evaluate your needs
before you invest in buying any device.
This device could be a great option considering
its price and the specs and features it supports.
