Huawei Nova 5T Back Huawei Nova 5T Screen

🕷 This is the Nova 5T from Huawei. The Huawei Nova 5T comes with a glass sandwich design with aluminum frame. It has a cutout in the front to house the selfie camera. The back is made from glass with Nova engraved on it. The engraving gives the device a nice touch, not all people will like it. It is the new design of the Nova series with the Nova engraved on the back of it.
The screen is IPS LCD 6.26 with 2340×1080 resolution. It comes with 412ppi and it occupies 84.2% of the front of the device.
The phone comes with 4 rear cameras, the main one is 48MP with an F/1.8 aperture. The second one is ultra wide 16MP with an F/2.2 aperture. The third is the depth camera 2MP with an F/2.4 aperture.
The fourth is the macro lens 2MP with an F/2.4 aperture. The cameras come with LED Flash and support autofocus, HDR and shoots at 2160p@30fps. The selfie camera is 32MP with an F/2.0 aperture.
The colors of the photos are satisfactory and are bit cold. The same thing applies to the ultra wide camera. The portrait is very good, but sometimes, it doesn’t recognize the background and it doesn’t detect people. The macro photos are good. Lots of mid-range devices don’t come with this feature.
An additional feature is that the cameras use AI in photography. This gives you the best settings for the object before taking a shot using the CPU. The CPU is the Kirin 980 with 8 cores and 7nm built. The GPU is the Mali-G76 MP10.
In Geekbench 5, the device scored 667 points in single core and 1700 points in multicore. PUBG started with high settings and the performance was excellent.
The RAM is 8GB and the onboard storage is 128GB. The storage can’t be upped as it doesn’t support external SD card. The device supports 2 SIM cards, though. The OS is Android 9 with EMUI 9.1 from Huawei. It also supports Google services.
The OS offers the usual shortcuts, like tapping to take a screenshot and minimizing the screen for ease of use among other shortcuts.
The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button and its performance is excellent. It also unlock using face recognition, but it doesn’t use dedicated sensors.
We don’t advise using it for security reasons. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, and it is compatible with Mada Pay service. The battery is 3750mAh. It supports quick charging using the Super Charge technology.
The charger that comes in the box is 22.5w and charges the battery from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes. For clarification, the device won’t charge from 50% to 100% in 30 minutes, though.
The box contains a transparent cover, quick charger, charging cable and USB-C headphones. Huawei Nova 5T comes with purple, black and shining blue colors.
The design of the phone is beautiful and the build quality is high. Huawei reached great quality with the Nova series.
The photography is satisfactory, and the macro lens is great for people who care about it. The hardware is excellent, and supporting fast charging is also great.
Cons:🥴
it doesn’t support 3.5mm headphone jack or external SD card. If you need a bigger storage than 128GB, then this device might not be good for you.
This is my review of the Huawei Nova 5T, which is a mid-range device with great performance.
See you on the next review and news… 😇
