🕷 This device competes with premium devices. It comes with a 90Hz screen, with almost mo bezels. It comes with 4 rear cameras, one of them is 108MP.

The front facing camera is high quality, it has 5000mAh battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also lots of other features.

Let’s get familiar with the Motorola Edge Plus. It is made from glass and supported with corning gorilla glass 5. The frame is made from aluminum. The back is curvy and shiny, and the screen to body ratio on the front is so high. It is curved with 90 degrees.

The screen has a punch hole to house the front facing camera. The device is splash resistant, and the thickness of it is 9.6mm and weighs 203g, The screen is very beautiful.

Motorola has entered a new market with this Edge Plus to compete with flagship premium devices. In this Review, we’ll see if this device with its high price is worth it. The screen size is 6.7 OLED, and it’s called Endless Edge Display.

It is FHD+ (2340×1080). The aspect ratio is 19.5:9, It comes with 385ppi and it supports HDR10+. It also comes with 90Hz frequency. The screen is amazing, even though I wish it came with higher ppi.

The device comes with 4 rear cameras. The main sensor is 108MP. It supports Quad Pixel technology. The sensor size is 1/1.33, According to Motorola, it is 3 times bigger than other 12MP sensors.

The second camera is the 16MP Ultra Wide lens with 117 degrees. These are samples to show the view angles. The third camera is the 8MP telephoto lens. The fourth camera is the ToF 3D sensor for isolation, which is available with most devices recently.

The cameras come with dual LED flash, and support OIS. The front facing camera is 25MP and supports Quad Pixel technology, which helps with autofocus a lot.

The main camera provides photos with satisfactory details and sharpness. The colors and saturated, but sometimes are a bit cold, other times are a bit warm. It depends on different circumstances. Colors are a personal preference, though. The Ultra Wide lens provide very good details and contrast. The devices supports 3x optical zoom, and the results are good. It also supports 10x digital zoom, but the quality of the photos are a bit noisy.

Portrait photos are satisfactory with saturated colors. But sometimes, it struggles with edge isolation. But I expect it’ll get better with future updates.

We’re used to this with premium devices. Updates bring lots of enhancements to the cameras. The device supports Macro Photos, which enables you to take close-up photos, and it provides acceptable results. By the way, you can also shoot videos in Macro mode.

Night mode performs well, and compared to normal mode, photos are less noisy. The rear cameras shoot 4K@30fps with good stabilization and warm and saturated colors. By the way, it also shoots 6K@30fps videos. 6K videos will help you shoot videos and later edit it to cropped 4K or FHD with high quality. It also supports 720p@240fps.

The device is capable of shooting 6K and 4K videos with other lower resolutions. You can shoot 6K videos, and edit it to high quality 4K videos.

This Motorola Edge Plus device comes with lots of features. What do you think about these specs? For me, I think it’s a great device from Motorola. With this device, you can shoot Portrait videos, too.

It feels like Motorola have put a lot of effort on their cameras. Would you choose this device as it’s the first premium device from Motorola?

It is their first experience with this category. Motorola have a great history with phones. Would you choose this device instead of other competitive devices?

For me, I think there needs to be a comparison. The front facing camera provide sharp photos with saturated colors. The same thing applies to portrait photos. It provides satisfactory isolation. But the colors are a bit colder.

This video is shot on the rear camera of the Motorola Edge Plus. The light is amazing in this place. It is 10 in the morning in the summer here in Riyadh. I am trying to avoid the sun by staying the shadows. The front facing camera also supports slo-mo videos.

Let me confirm that with updates, the cameras become better. It is something we used to from premium devices. The CPU inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. It comes with 8 cores and 7nm build. It supports AI and 5G. The GPU is the Adreno 650.

In Geekbench 5, the device scored 909 points for single core and 3308 points for multicore. Here’s where the CPU performance is ranked among other competitors. You can see that the performance of this device stands out. It was able to beat other competitors.

PUBG game started with high settings with excellent smoothness. It also supports Moto Game Time feature, which enables you to block notifications while gaming. It also enables you to take screenshots. You can also add additional buttons.

The RAM is 12GB LPDDR5, and the onboard storage is 256GB UFS 3.0, It only supports one SIM card and it doesn’t support an SD card. The device runs Android 10 with a UI very similar to stock Android. It is light and easy to use. The UI supports gestures, dark mode and side apps.

The device supports bluetooth 5.1, NFC and WiFi 6. It also supports dual 5G waves.

We used STC network to test 5G speeds, and we were able to score 859MBps download speed. And upload speed was 31.8MBps. But let me remind you that the distance between you the 5G tower plays an important role.

The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It provides great responsiveness. The device comes with a USB-C port and a headphone jack.

The device with this price and specs comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is something very rare to find these days. The device comes with stereo speakers, and it provides better audio than other devices from this category. It also supports Moto Audio feature, which enables you to choose between different audio modes for gaming, movies and others.

The battery is a massive 5000mAh. It supports TurboPower features with 18w. It charges from 0% to 28% in 30 minutes.

The device also supports wireless charging with 15w and reverse wireless charging with 5w, The box contains a clear cover, fast charger, charging cable and headphones. It’s been a long time since we were able to charge the phone and use the headphone at the same time without adapters or dongles.

The device is available in silver color, It costs aproximately $439.98 now on Amazon.

Was with the pre order, you’ll get VervBuds 500 headphones and fast wireless charger. his device comes with high specs.

Pros:

The design is very beautiful, the build quality is very high. The camera performance is excellent. It comes with a 5000mAh battery and a headphone jack. It also comes with a near stock android UI. It is supposed to receive regular system updates.

Cons:

While charging, the device become a little bit hot. It could be solved with upcoming software updates. Second this is, Motorola have made a $1000 device without a marketing plan.

Despite that, the specs and features of this device are very advanced.

Would you like me to compare this device with another one?

Participate in the poll and let me know what to compare it with, and we’ll gladly make it. Let me know whether Motorola will come back again with this device.

The only thing that’s not so powerful about this device is that it doesn’t support ultra fast charging. Other than that, what does this device lack?

Though, it comes with 90Hz frequency, not 120Hz. Comment your opinion.
