Hello guys, Let me now discuss the Acer Predator XB323QK screen, It is a screen dedicated for gaming with 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It also comes with HDMI 2.1 ports.
This means that it’ll be great with devices like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. It also supports low latency up to 0.5ms. This means it’ll be great for competitive games.
The design is similar to other Predator screens. But this screen is flat.If you noticed, the chin comes with a Predator logo. The stand comes with a wing design, and there’s a dedicated area for cable management.
The screen is adjustable from all sides. And it comes with a back RGB stip. The strip is disturbed all over the back, and the light can be customized using the Light Sense app from Acer.
The app will offer lots of customization options. You can also adjust the level of brightness. What’s great is that the light will interact with what’s shown on the screen, whether it is audio or video.
The screen comes with a panel that Acer called Agile-Splender IPS. This type of panels offers high response rate while maintaining the quality of colors.
The reason is because it supports Liquid Crystal technology. This technology reduced latency from 14ms to 7ms or 5ms or 1ms or even 0.5ms.
You can do that through the Over-Drive option form the screen settings. This will be great for gamers, because, like I said, lower latency means higher responsiveness.
The screen supports HDR 400, which means the brightness will reach 400 NITs with HDR content. The level of brightness is acceptable since this is a monitor not a TV.
The screen supports DCI-P3 colors with 90%.DCI-P3 is the standard for high resolutions screens. It is great for video editors, content creators and designers. Because it is supports high resolution with life-like colors.

The screen supports a technology called VisionCare 4.0 from Acer. This offers lots of technologies to protect your eyes. There’s also a technology called Bluelightshield Pro, which protects your eyes from blue light without sacrificing the quality of colors or resolution. There’s also a ColorSense technology, which adjust the temperature of colors depending on the room’s light.
This will also help protect your eyes. There’s also another technology called ProxiSense, which sends you notification to remind you to take a break. If the screen isn’t used, it’ll activate the power saver mode.
The screen’s resolution is 4K and it supports 144Hz refresh rate. It is unreflective and is compatible with technologies like Adaptive Sync and Gsync from Nvidia.
here’s also the VRR technology, which syncs frames with the game to get rid of lag. Because of the high refresh rate, Nvidia’s Reflax will also offer high performance.
This technology reduces latency, especially in competitive games. At the same time, the technology measures and adjusts the latency in the system.
To benefit from this technology, the GPU card must be from the RTX series from Nvidia. The UI is normal and easy to use. It offers a sea of options, It supports color customization and different screen modes. You can enable/disable Adaptive Sync and HDR. If you don’t prefer playing games with HDR, you can then turn it off.
After experimenting with it, the screen offers natural and saturated colors. It is great for gaming and content watching. This is supported with the IPS panels.
The viewing angle is excellent. The degree of deep black is acceptable. There’s light leakage, though. This is normal, because the panel is LED.
We connected the screen with a PS5 and it supported 4K resolution with 120Hz. We tried Gears 5 game, and it worked with high smoothness with 120Hz refresh rate.
The response was very high, too. We also tried Forza Horizon 5, and it offered similar performance. When connected the computer, it supported 144Hz refresh rate with 4K resolution. With Doom Enternal, the refresh rate with 144Hz.
The same applies to the Apex Legend game. The screen comes with 2x HDMI 2.1 ports and a Display Port 1.4 port. There’s also a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. There’s another headphones out port.
The screen comes with 3x USB 3.0 ports and a USB-B port. These ports are distributed on the back and sides of the screen. You can also use the screen as a USB Hub.
For example, if you connect the screen to a laptop, the ports on the screen will be used as extra ports on the laptop, You can connect a mouse and keyboard to the screen directly.
This can be done if you connect the laptop to the screen with a USB-C port. Moreover, the laptop will charge with 65W through the screen itself.
The screen comes with 4W speakers, and after experimenting with them, they offer acceptable performance. But it is preferred to use external speakers. The screen costs 1400 USD.
Pros:
It comes with a beautiful design, especially with the customizable RGB lights. The screen is fast, whether in response time or refresh rate, which is 144Hz. It supports 4K resolution and comes with HDMI 2.1 ports. It supports devices like PS5, and you can use it instead of using big TVs.
Cons:
To activate the back RGB lights, you have to connect the screen using a USB-C port. I wished the audio performance was better, considering the high price of this screen.
This concludes this review, where I reviewed 4 different devices. 3 of these devices are from HyperX and the fourth is the Predator screen from Acer.
See you later.
