đ· This devices measure glucose in your blood. You simply attach this sensor to your arm permanently and measure it like this!
This device is available now in the market and pharmacies. The idea behind it is you have to attach this sensor on your arm, This sensor stays for 15 days on your arm, and whenever you want to measure your glucose, turn on the device and touch the sensor and it gives you details quickly.
The sensor has a needle, and it is installed in a special way. The sensor is bought separately, and then install it on your arm. The sensor has mini device that analyze your blood’s glucose.
You will be able to know the readings of your blood’s glucose from this main device. I received lots of question on whether this device is practical or accurate and if it is worth it!
That’s why I tried. I have installed the sensor on my arm a week ago. Installing the sensor is a little bit painful.
It would be way easier for elders to to measure their blood glucose. It even works when the device is covered with clothes. Blood glucose’s reading will be recorded on the device.
All readings will be there. I also check certain readings to see whether I ate long time ago, exercised, or took my medicine, I can add notes to my readings on the device. When I visit a doctor and show them the history of readings, they will know how I was doing and act accordingly.
They also would know what food had I eaten, and ask not to eat it, or they would know when I exercised. These information are valuable to your doctor.
Let me tell you this, this device is directed to kids to relief them from having to use needles all the time to measure their glucose. My body is not a kid’s body, so my experience is different. It could vary from someone to another. It is painful? Yes, it is painful to install this needle, specially when you sleep on it or add pressure on it.
At the start, it was painful, but few days later, the pain was gone. It has become normal now. I can add pressure on the sensor and it is not painful. You won’t feel the needle anymore.
Yet, every other day, you might feel like there is something odd with your arm, or you might start to feel a bit pain from the needle. The sensor won’t be damaged by showers or trainings. It won’t fall off, and you don’t have to cover it.
There could be better scenarios in using this device, for example, it is ideal for elders. God help them.
It would be way easier for elders to to measure their blood glucose. It even works when the device is covered with clothes. Blood glucose’s reading will be recorded on the device.

Which is a good thing. This device will cost you USD200! Add the value of the device to the value of the sensor, which will last for 2 weeks, these two weeks will cost you60 USD.
You need two sensors per month, hence you will need 130 USD per month to buy those 2 sensors. If you add the value of the sensors and the device, the average cost per month would be 140 USD!
The average for two years would be 90 USD per month. You will have to pay 140 USD per month to measure glucose in your blood. It is up to you to take this decision if you can afford to buy one!
Let’s talk about the pain, with this device, you won’t have to feel pain every time you want to measure your glucose, It is really easy to use. The device comes with a charger in the box. It also comes with instructions manual. It comes with a wall adapter and a cable to charge it!
The device displays the charging percentage and days left to remove the sensor and replace it. There are 7 days left for this sensor, Don’t forget to set the device time and date, add your gender and age!
Let’s discuss this dilemma, should I pay 140 usd per month to measure glucose in my blood or not?
I personally think this device is good for certain cases, If you have a chronic disease and it is hard to measure glucose, this would be a great choice. But if you just want to measure your blood glucose, find other options, because this device will cost you 170 USD per year!
Who knows, prices may drop! It is just an experiment I wanted to share with you.
Another thing, in the past, I remember 15 years ago, when glucose meter devices with stripes were in the market, they were really expensive. Their prices were similar to this one, but with time, prices dropped, and they are excellent now. If other companies make the same product and are available in the market, prices will drop significantly.
This is the first sensor I attached to my arm. Let me remove it, If you notice, it bleeds a little bit from the place the sensor will attached! You can’t reinstall it again.
Let me check it works again, It works! I don’t know if it works or not, but look at the color of the needle, I just noticed the length of the needle; it is not short! It is not a hard needle. It is made from plastic or aluminum, This deice is really accurate to be able to install it correctly!
The sensor has a small battery inside, and there is another device that reads the glucose constantly. You will have to wait an hour after installing the sensor to be able to read glucose levels.
This sensor might stop working after one hour. I hope I was successful showcasing this device. Share this article guys with people who might benefit from it.
