This is the OnePlus 8 device. đŸ€” What are the main specs and features of it? And how does it feel to use it?

And will be available in the all market or not?

It coms in two versions; OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. In this review, we’ll talk about the OnePlus 8. But first, let me tell you about the content of the box. The box is, as usual, very cool.

Once opened, you’ll be presented with a booklet that explains the design and parts used inside the new device. There’s also 2 covers: one is made from carbon fiber, and the second comes with a Cyan color. There’s also the device itself.

Let me now discuss the design. The device is made from glass with an aluminum frame. The back comes with a curved shiny edges.

The front is occupied by the screen, and for the first time, there’s a punch hole to house the front facing camera. The thickness of the device is 8mm, and it weighs 180g, It is 10g less than the 7T.

The screen size is 6.55. It is very similar to the 7T screen size. But this new one comes with curved edges, which is different than the previous one. The screen is Fluid AMOLED with 2400×1080 resolution, It comes with 402ppi, and it supports HDR10+ and 90Hz frequency.

We’ve seen the high frequency rate with previous OnePlus devices. The OnePlus 8 comes with 3 rear cameras. The main camera is 48MP. The second camera is the Macro lens, 2MP. The third camera is the 16MP Ultra Wide lens with 116 degrees of view.

The cameras comes with dual LED flash, It supports autofocus and 4K@60fps videos. The front facing camera is 16MP, and it supports EIS.

The photos produced by the main cameras are sharp with very good details. The colors are saturated and warm, but it doesn’t feel natural, but it depends on your personal preference. The Ultra Wide camera produces good details and sharpness. But sometimes it feels like the photos are taken with a fisheye lens.

The colors are cold compared to the colors produced with the main camera. it supports Portrait photos using the main lens, and it supports two angles. The close angle provides good isolation, but the colors are different using the main camera.

The Macro photos are not the best. Sometimes, the results are good, other times, they’re normal. Night mode absorbs light well, but sometimes, the photos are a bit noisy.

Sometimes, normal mode provides better results than the night mode. The rear cameras shoot 4K@60fps, the stabilization is good and the details are satisfactory. The colors are warm and saturated, and by the way, it supports SuperSteady mode, which reduces shakes. It supports slo-mo videos up to 720@480fps. But this slo-mo is shot using the rear cameras.

The front facing camera produces satisfactory results, the face skin is a little smoothed. Portrait photos using the front facing camera are between satisfactory and good.

Sometimes, the edges are not isolated well and the colors tend to be cold. Videos shot with the front facing camera are good stabilization with saturated colors. But the videos are 1080@30fps.

This is an example of the videos shot using the front facing camera on the OnePlus 8. The details are very good, but the Pro version of this device supports better specs and features.

Isn’t it?

The CPU is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with 8 cores and 7nm build.

The GPU is the Adreno 650. In Geekbench 5, the CPU scored 680 points for the single core and 2832 points for the multicore. And this is where the performance of the CPU is ranked among other flagships. PUBG game started with high settings, and it provided excellent performance.

The RAM is 8GB and the onboard storage is 128GB. It also comes with a 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage version.

The device doesn’t support an SD card, but it supports 2 SIM cards. The OS is Android 10 with OxygenOS UI.The UI is very similar to the stock Android version. It supports gestures, night mode and reader mode. It supports NFC and it is compatible with Mada Pay service.

It support WiFi with 2.4GHz and 5GHz and bluetooth 5.1, What’s special about this device is that it supports 5G and it supports high download and upload speeds. But it depends on your carrier and whether your area has 5G towers.

OnePlus 8 comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen, and it provides good responsiveness. It also supports unlocking with face recognition, but it doesn’t use 3D sensors. I don’t advise using it. It comes with a USB-C port, and unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a headphone jack.

The battery is 4300mAh, and it supports WarpCharge 30T technology, which charges the device with 30w.

According to OnePlus, the device charges from 1% up to 50% in 30 minutes. The box contains the device, clear cover, fast charger and the charging cable.

Until now, the device isn’t officially available in all markets. But in the US market, the device costs $500. It comes with 3 colors: green, black and Interstellar glow, which is very unique and beautiful.

Pros:😃

the design is beautiful and it feels great in the hand. The camera is good and does its job. And for this category, the battery is good. It also supports fast charging.

Cons:😌!

it doesn’t support a Micro SD card. It is also not officially available in all markets!

OnePlus bring great specs and feature with good price. If any other company makes this device, it’d cost more. It is a good move from OnePlus. But unfortunately the price of the OnePlus 8 Pro is shocking.

Should I make a review about it?😁
